Girls in DFCS custody from all over Georgia come to select free elegant dresses donated by you, enabling them to attend their high school proms in style. Also invited this year are girls in the Project Healthy Grand parents and Grands raising Grands programs from all over the State. There are giggles and smiles, oohs and ahhs all afternoon while they select the dress of their dreams, jewelry, shoes, shawls, purses and a lesson in hair and make up; a magical moment frozen in time when a girl finds that just right dress she has been dreaming of since she was a little girl. Princesses are born and the Prom-A-Palooza makes them shine.  Foster Care Support Foundation thanks all who make it possible for these girls to enjoy this event. Special thanks to Crown Cleaners/Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta and Lee Chadwick of the Metropolitan Club of Alpharetta and the hundreds of volunteers and donors that give so tirelessly of their time, gifts and talents to help our kids.

Last years Prom-A-Palooza was a huge success. Over 200 volunteers came to help size, set up, organize, be personal shoppers and clean up the wonderful and exciting event for the needy teens. With confidentiality laws prohibiting any visible advertising of these children, it is difficult to meet the many needs of the teens while they are in the system.
Many are truly invisible and this event helps them feel a part of the world that never seems to cross their threshhold.
Check out Prom-A-Palooza on U tube to see a glimpse at a fairytale prom evening with all of the fine attire seen in photos of fancy magazines. Although it may give the impression of only a few people made this possible, this is a "WE" thing for our community and State with hundreds of people doing their part to making it successful.

Some girls were in tears when they looked into the mirrors and saw a dream come true.
One girl said she never expected she would be going to prom due to the cost and her being in foster care. She said, this is like God giving me a reason to be here. She meant, 'alive', and that is so good to know, to know that these girls feel love pouring out towards them from the volunteers working so hard to help them find items that they like. Thank you all. We look forward to the Next Prom-A-Palooza!
